While CanadiEM is many things, there are many things that it is not. This disclaimer outlines those things.
CanadiEM makes every effort to publish only correct information. We will double check our facts, but please realize that medicine is constantly changing and that one physician may interpret the available evidence differently from another. We are simply presenting our views on the evidence that we have reviewed and referenced as well as our own experiences. We welcome comments, suggestions, and corrections and aim to respond to them quickly and comprehensively. The rare time that an error is found or that our content can be improved, we update it. In fact, we guarantee that we will be more responsive than your textbooks.
CanadiEM is HIPA compliant and will never reveal the medical information of patients. While you may provide your email address to subscribe to posts or to post information on the blog, we will never share your email address or contact information with third parties.
CanadiEM has never accepted money from drug or device companies and does not allow advertisements to appear on our website. As of 2016 we ask all authors and editors to disclose any conflicts of interest that they have and do not publish work contributed to by anyone with a conflict of interest that could affect their judgement on their topic of inquiry.
