On behalf of the CanadiEM and Essentials of Emergency Medicine teams, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2017 Fellowship contest is Dr. Sameer Sharif!

Sameer Sharif

Sameer is a 3rd year resident in the FRCPC Emergency Medicine program at McMaster University. His submission, entitled ß-Blockers for Refractory Ventricular Fibrillation in Cardiac Arrest was rated highly by all three of the Editors who reviewed it. Beyond being well written, appropriately referenced, and interesting, he incorporated several images and infographics that pushed it to the head of an exceptional field of contributors. Watch for its publication on CanadiEM within the next month.

As an Essentials of EM Fellow, Sameer will receive a travel stipend, free registration for Essentials, and free lodging at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas from May 16-18.

Congratulations Sameer – have a blast!
