Dear BoringEM Readers,

As you may have read, we are working hard to expand our team so that we can continue to provide high quality, entertaining medical education content. Just under a week ago, our editor-in-chief announced that I would be assuming the role as Managing Editor for Boring EM this year. It is my pleasure to announce that we are expanding our editorial team even further: Soon-to-be-doctor Eve Purdy (@purdy_eve) will be assuming the role of Medical Student Editor as of today.

At Boring EM, we strive to bring you home-grown Canadian content, and that is why we are particularly excited to have Eve join our team. Eve is the brilliant Canadian medical student that hails from Queen’s University. You may have read her work on her excellent blog, Manu et Corde.  She is also a frequent tweeter, voracious writer, and a reader of all things FOAM. As a medical student, she brings the unique perspective of a junior learner. Eve will be participating in the structural re-design of our blog’s procedures as well as participating in the pre-publication editorial review process. Most importantly, she will be responsible for crafting and editing new content that is particularly relevant to medical students.

Please join us in welcoming Eve to the BoringEM team.

Teresa Chan  MD FRCPC
Managing Editor, BoringEM

P.S. Stay tuned for Eve’s first Counterpoint editorial that will debut later this week.
