In Featured by Kara TastadLeave a Comment

In this series, we are collaborating with CAEP to break down everything you need to know about the CAEP Conference in Quebec City! We have teamed up with CAEP to bring you infographics summarizing the plenary talks for each day of the conference!

Our first plenary is presented by Clare Atzema! In her presentation on “The Path to a CIHR-ICRH/CAEP Mid-Career Lecturer Award in Emergency Medicine: Tales from the (Fibrillating) Heart” she breaks down barriers she encountered in her career as a cis-gender woman.

Plenary Learning Objectives:

  1. To highlight the barriers en route to success in Canadian EM Research, as encountered by a cis-gender woman
  2. To review the responsibilities once you get there
  3. To describe the benefits of infiltrating another specialty (Cardiology in the present case)
